SETTING THE STAGE Welcome, today you will be introduced to the Secnond Grade Global Communication & Collaboration Science Research and Publishing Project
This project is designed to integrate the elements of Nonfiction Literacy with technology to create a print and ebook. We will look at some online resources available to support the project, explore the project's website and discuss the standards that this project addresses.

Session Overview: In this session you will become familiar with the 2nd grade project, be introduced to project resources, discuss elements of
Nonfiction Literature learn some strategies for implementing the project and view samples of completed projects.

Model how to create files and folders to keep work organized
Strateges for Internet Searches
Discuss the elements of Nonfiction Literacy and view sample books.
Demonstrate how to scan images
Model how to download and import graphics

Choose two graphics and download and import them
Scan in an image
